Description
Florence Price was a prolific African-American composer, pianist, and music teacher. Her compositions for piano are quite extensive, though she never created or published any beginning piano methods. The pieces included in the two volumes of A Collection of Florence Price’s Piano Teaching Music are imaginative and indicative of the composer’s knowledge about providing a sound pedagogical foundation for beginning students.
