Description
Vamos a jugar offers a playful twist on many traditional songs and games from Latin and South America, allowing students to enjoy learning repertoire in a new language and have a unique musical experience.
Sharing with your students the original or traditional way of a game or song if there is one, as you incorporate these playful twists along the way preserves those original traditions. Your will students see themselves, their languages, and cultures, and enjoy these activities as they provide those “windows, mirrors, and sliding doors” (Rudine Sims Bishop) that our students deserve, while keeping their creative and playful children spirit alive in our music classrooms!
Online supplemental materials include: Full Color visuals for projection and in printable PDF format; complete scores as appropriate, and audio tracks of each activity spoken and sung.
