The Ashly SP12.1P is a high-performance, passive subwoofer designed to extend the low-frequency response of a sound system for both music and speech reinforcement applications. This subwoofer features a robust 12-inch driver housed in a vented (ported) enclosure that is engineered to deliver powerful, articulate bass with high efficiency. It is designed to complement Ashly’s full-range loudspeakers and is ideally used in installed sound systems for venues such as houses of worship, performance spaces, clubs, and larger commercial installations where enhanced low-end impact and extension are required. The passive design requires an external power amplifier and an active crossover or processor to properly manage the frequency division between the subwoofer and the main speakers.The cabinet is constructed from durable plywood with a textured black finish, built to withstand the demands of professional use. It includes integrated handles and multiple heavy-duty rigging points for flexible placement—it can be flown, stacked, or ground-supported as needed. The port design is optimized to maximize output and reduce turbulence noise. The subwoofer features high-quality binding post terminals for secure speaker wire connection. By focusing on the critical low-frequency range, the SP12.1P allows the main loudspeakers to operate more efficiently and with greater clarity, resulting in a fuller, more balanced overall sound system capable of higher output levels with lower distortion.
